Being built · looking for the first course writers

The AI writes the course in a minute. Then you rebuild it by hand, because nothing gives you a SCORM file.

You paste the policy document into a chat tool. It writes good lessons and good questions. Then you open an authoring tool and type it all in again, screen by screen, because your LMS only accepts a SCORM package and the chat tool cannot make one. Scormpack does both halves: you upload the document, the AI writes the course, and you download a SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 file that your LMS accepts.

$19 a month for 25 courses. The two tools that do this same job today both charge $39 a month. One of them gives you 5 AI courses for that price.

What you do today

There are four real answers, and three of them cost nothing. It is worth saying which is which before you give us your email address.

A chat tool, then an authoring tool

The AI writes the text and the questions well. It cannot make a SCORM package, so you copy the result into an authoring tool and lay out every screen yourself. The writing took ten minutes and the rebuilding took the afternoon.

eXeLearning

Free, open source, runs on your own computer, and it exports SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004 properly. It has no AI. You write every screen and every question yourself.

H5P, with Lumi for the export

Also free. The H5P core does not export SCORM at all, and the H5P team has said in its own forum that it will not build that. Lumi is a second free tool that adds the export. Neither writes the course for you.

A free plan from a paid product

One AI course tool does give SCORM export away on a free plan. It gives you 450 AI credits once, at signup, and they are never renewed. Your courses carry that company's badge until you pay $39 a month. It is a trial with no end date, not a free tool.

If a free tool already covers you, keep using it

We mean that. If you write two courses a year, eXeLearning is free and it works, and nothing here is worth $19 a month to you. This is built for the person who makes courses often enough that the rebuilding is the job.

The AI half and the SCORM half are separate today

Every free tool here gives you one half. The chat tool writes and cannot package. The free authoring tools package and cannot write.

The retyping is the whole cost

Moving a finished course from a chat window into an authoring tool is manual work that happens once for every course you ever make.

A SCORM file is not hard, it is just missing

SCORM is a published open standard and the packaging is a small piece of software. Nobody has put it behind the AI at a price a single person pays.

How it works

1

Upload the document

A PDF, a Word file or a PowerPoint deck. A policy, a manual, a set of slides you already teach from. Up to 120 pages.

2

The AI writes the course

Lessons in order, with a knowledge check on each one and a final quiz with a pass mark. You edit any screen before you export.

3

Download the SCORM file

SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004, your choice at export. Upload it to your own LMS. Scores and completion report back the normal way.

The price, in full

$19 a month, 25 courses
  • 25 AI courses every month. Unused courses do not carry over.
  • Documents up to 120 pages.
  • SCORM 1.2 and SCORM 2004, both included.
  • No badge and no logo on your courses. They are yours.
  • No minimum, no contract, no call with a salesperson. Cancel yourself.

The two products that do this exact job publish $39 a month. At that price, one of them gives you 5 AI courses, which is $7.80 for each course you make. This is 76 cents.

What this is not

  • It is not an LMS. It makes the file. Your own LMS delivers it and keeps the records.
  • It is not a video tool. It writes text, questions and images, not filmed lessons.
  • It does not check your course against any law or standard. What the AI writes is a draft, and you are the person who reads it before anyone is taught from it.
  • It is not built yet. This page is how the first course writers are being found.

Questions

Can I buy it today?

No, not yet. It is being built, and this page is how the first course writers are being found. If you sign up you will hear from the person building it before it opens.

eXeLearning is free and exports SCORM. Why pay $19?

If you already use it and you are happy writing the course yourself, keep it. It is free, it is good, and this product does not try to beat it at what it does.

What you pay for here is the first half. eXeLearning starts with an empty screen. Scormpack starts with your document and gives you a written course with questions in it, which you then edit. If writing the course is not the slow part for you, the free tool is the better answer.

Can I not just use a chat tool and paste the result in?

You can, and many people do. That is the method this is meant to replace. The writing is fast and the retyping into an authoring tool is not, and it happens again for every course.

Will it work with my LMS?

If your LMS accepts SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 packages, yes. That covers Moodle, Canvas, TalentLMS, Docebo, Cornerstone, SAP SuccessFactors and most others. Say which one you use on the form and it goes to the front of the testing list.

Who owns the course?

You do. The SCORM file is yours, it carries no badge from us, and it keeps working in your LMS if you stop paying.

What does the AI actually write?

A course outline, the lesson text for each screen, a knowledge check after each lesson, and a final quiz with a pass mark. It is a draft. You read and edit it before you export, the same as you would edit anything a machine wrote for you.
